Position Overview:
As a Trade Finance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Letter of Credit (LC) documentation within the framework of global trade regulations and company policies. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including banks, traders, and logistics teams, to facilitate seamless transactions in the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process LC documentation in adherence to global trade regulations, company guidelines, and UCP600.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including banks, traders, and logistics teams, to facilitate smooth LC transactions.
- Stay updated on international trade regulations, banking standards, and UCP600 to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Identify and address risks associated with LC transactions, contributing to the broader risk management strategy.
- Engage with banks and financial institutions to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely LC settlements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including trading, finance, and legal, to improve communication and streamline processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the LC function.
- Implement best practices, including those outlined in UCP600, to enhance the overall effectiveness of LC operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in trade documentation, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
- Familiarity with global trade regulations and UCP600.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage and mitigate risks associated with LC transactions.
- Prior experience in resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely settlements.
