The BIM (Building Information Modeling) Modeller is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and detailed 3D models of building projects using BIM software. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. The BIM Modeller works closely with the design and construction teams to develop and coordinate the BIM model throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models based on architectural and engineering design documents.
- Utilize BIM software (such as Autodesk Revit) to create detailed models of building components, systems, and structures.
- Coordinate and integrate models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.) into a comprehensive federated model.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with BIM standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with project team members to resolve clashes and conflicts within the BIM model.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, systems, and components.
