Marketing & Communications Executive / Senior Executive

There are 3 units under Marcoms Department – Marcoms, Design and Studio.


You will be under Marcoms and your primarily role will be to support Jamiyah Singapore on all communications to both internal employees and external stakeholders like donors, community partners, volunteers, the general public such as engaging and maintaining a positive relationship with the media; maintaining and updating the websites and social media platforms and content writing.


The goal is to reach out to the public and cultivate the public’s interest in Jamiyah Singapore and its services in ways that would strengthen its reputation, increase brand awareness, build affinity, invite volunteer participation and pull in donations.


You will also assist with the marketing and other related tasks as assigned where needed.


Duties & Responsibilities


Communications


· Works closely with the various divisions and departments in Jamiyah such as the Homes, Centres, Departments to develop and execute communications plans in promoting Jamiyah as a whole and individually - its programmes, activities and services;


· Produces well-researched and related communication content for multiple platforms, such as print, websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs;


· Prepares communications to the media, including preparing media invites, media releases, media kits and other content initiatives. Cultivates and manages relationships with media representatives. Coordinates & handles media on site;


· Researches and writes for publications, print & online. Assists in coordinating all publications;


· Monitors the media for news about Jamiyah and its products, or other reports that are relevant to Jamiyah;


· Monitors current news, trends so as to keep Jamiyah in the forefront of what is happening around the world especially for non-profit organizations;


· Prepares content such as scripts for videos, emcees, storyboards etc.


Marketing


· Conducts market research and analysis to identify & define target audiences; evaluate trends; brand awareness and competitive analysis;


· Conceives and develops intuitive ideas and marketing strategies for both traditional and digital marketing;


· Executes and monitors progress of campaigns using various metrics; improves, tweaks for efficacy and submits reports of performances;


· Initiates outreach projects that will help to promote Jamiyah’s brand and enhance proximity to the community;


Social Media/Digital Marketing


· Executes the various marketing projects and campaigns in various media and social platforms and measuring its impact and effectiveness;


· Performs activities relating to Search Engine Optimization on a continuous basis;


· Creates and executes SMS and E-mail based marketing campaigns;


· Manages and maintains Social Media efforts and strives to improve the results in terms of KPIs e.g. likes, shares, comments, etc;


· Reviews and actively manages website and other online assets and sources;


· Uses and researches the internet and new media to reach new customers, generate leads and retain existing customers;


· Analyses market research and plans promotions, competitions and other various creative marketing techniques based on the research results.


Events Management


· Assists in the planning and execution of Jamiyah’s events;


· Plans pre-event tasks such as budgets, invite lists, catering, door gifts etc;


· Coordinates all operations and logistics with other departments and/or vendors;


· Assists in the on-site smooth running of the event on event day.


Others


· Coordinates with Design and Studio Teams in carrying out the above tasks;


· Works within tight budgets and timelines to manage multiple projects;


· Carries out other duties as directed by HOD or Senior Management;


Requirements


· University Degree in marketing and/or communications preferred.


· Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in marketing and/or communications;


· Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies;


· Experience in events management will be an added advantage;


· Fluent in English, Malay and/or Mandarin;


· Strong analytical, inter-personal and communication skills;


· Excellent research and writing skills;


· Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels and online marketing tools; SEO/SEM; Google Analytics etc;


· Pleasant disposition with positive attitude, sense of ownership and pride in your work and performance, willing to work beyond normal working hours and weekends;


· Independent, yet a team player, a multi tasker, highly organized and able to work under pressure within tight timelines;
