Job Responsibilities:
For general responsibilities, the job holder shall:
· Reports to Section Manager of Piping basis organization and report to the Piping Design Lead when assigned to a project role.
· Ensure that all assigned work completed on time, project schedules and of the intended quality.
· Interface with other organisational units for project related as required.
· Maintain a positive and safe working environment at work location.

For project related responsibilities, the job holder shall:
· Responsible to lead the team on Piping & Layout design activities.
· Coordinate on project specific issues with the Piping Design Lead.
· Based on the client specifications, follow project specific procedure related to Piping & Layout design.
· Work closely with the Piping design lead of the project to understand the requirements and address the demand on time. Develop reports as required by the lead.
· In case of any technical challenges, troubleshoot to resolve the issues on time and if required escalate to Piping Design Lead for quick resolution. Plan tasks and issue the deliverables as per company procedures.
· Be familiar with the workflows in the project once they have been set up. Taking initiative and provide any input to the Piping Design Lead on time and highlight in advance if there are any technical challenges.
· Coordinate actively with other offices, for the projects being executed from multiple locations, attend meetings, and communicate effectively. Be flexible and ready to assume additional roles in the project.
· Perform 3D-modeling using E3D / PDMS for Mechanical, Safety, Soft Volumes, Escape & Transport Routes, Access & Material Handling Routes, Equipment modelling, Package modelling with required TP points, Piping and Pipe supports.
· Perform layout design which includes Piping/ Pipe support design. Conduct 3D Model Reviews both internally and externally as per the Project requirements.
· MTO preparation and checking for the Piping Bulk items and Tagged Items.
· Vendor drawing review for the static Equipment’s/ Rotating Equipment’s/ Packages and ensure all the Nozzle orientations; Vessel cleats Support requirements are in line with Design Requirements.
· Perform and Checks the Model object clashes on regular basis and collaborate with other disciplines for effective cleaning of the 3D Model to make it clash free.
· Perform Design Review on regular basis by using E3D / PDMS / 3D model software such as Navisworks for establishing the suitability of Layout / Piping design in accordance with standards and codes.
· Issue of discipline deliverables in project specific templates
Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
· Minimum 15 years of experience having worked in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (Offshore projects) serving in the capacity of a Piping Lead Designer.
· Experience in using E3D / PDMS, MDS, Navisworks, AutoCAD and MS Office
· Experience in Norwegian projects and applicants experience to the relevant standards, NCS and UKCS sectors preferred.
· Have had prior work experience with medium/ large sized brownfield and green field projects in the Oil and Gas sector with similar roles and possess an excellent understanding of project phases, milestones, and deliverables.
· Have performed 3D-modeling using E3D / PDMS.
· Have performed layout design which includes Piping/ Pipe support design.
· Possess a thorough understanding and knowledge of oil and natural gas industry standards such as, but not limited to, ASME, API (American Petroleum Institute), BS, European Regulations and other relevant standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
· Minimum a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITE in Mechanical Engineering or ITI/NTC in Mechanical drafting.
· Excellent technical communication (oral and written) skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams, client technical authorities, and client’s project management representatives and approving bodies.
· A self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyse problems, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
· Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
