Catering Executive

Job Requirement:

  • Prepare for catering set-up/ pre-setup according to checklist
  • Good time management to ensure setup/pre-setup are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Timely and efficiently solves event emergencies and resolves conflicts
  • Supervise and ensure high standard of sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene as well as the quality level of product and service, compliant with company’s health and safety standards;
  1. Immediately reports the breaches to Junior/Operations Manager
  2. Ensure events pantry and store are kept neat and tidy at all time, according to company’s hygiene and safety standards;
  3. Immediately reports the breaches to Junior/Operations Manager
  4. Supervise, lead and manage a team of ground staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operation with highest productivity
  • Assist Junior/Operations Manager to record daily staffing levels, checklists and generate weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide on-the-job training to new staff on their job duties in respective areas of responsibilities
  • Monitoring and control of inventories
  • Assist and enforce daily mandatory/quality control checks on crockery and smallwares before every event setup
  • Work closely with kitchen and facilities team to ensure smooth day-to-day operation

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Compass Singapore HSE systems and procedures
  • Follow all Emergency Response plans on site
  • Follow procedures for identifying, assessing and controlling hazards and risks
  • Adhere to and maintain food handling standards and food safety plan at all times

Job Requirements:

  • A Degree or equivalent in Hospitality or Restaurant Management
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Hotel or Restaurant operations
  • Good knowledge of International and Local Cuisine
  • A go-getter who thrives in a challenging environment, with strong self-motivation who values teamwork, collaboration and passion for the catering business
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skill
  • Independent, resourceful, self-driven and a team player
