Responsibilities:
- Perform the duties of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health Act
- Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant WSH legal requirements, codes of practices and Singapore Standards. This will also include communicating with external and internal stakeholders on up-to-date changes in WSH legislations and other requirements
- Inspect & endorse PTW system, Hot work assessor, WAH assessor & confined space assessor
- Assist for daily Project Safety & as an advisor for the safety committee
- In charge of FSM in conducting Fire & Evacuation drill
- Maintain an effective Safety Management System for the organization
- Conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with WSH Act
- Attend EDB & MOM routine Inspections and conduct for ART test for workers
- Support incident investigations to identify root causes and appropriate correction actions
- Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures to stakeholders
- Coordinate WSH trainings and support WSH promotional activities
- Maintains & renew WSH documented information for the organization as well as review safety documentation on contractor work activities
- Review & maintain HSEMS, HSE Action plan, Project HSE Plan, Safe Work Procedure, Risk assessment, Emergency Response Plan & Safe Management Measures Plan Certifications
- Conduct incident investigation and report as required by MOM
- Other Tasks assigned by Management
Requirements:
- MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety and Health
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and/or Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) will be added advantages
- Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related fields
- Knowledge in ISO45001, ISO 9001, BizSafe, SHMS, SCDF & Clients audit & certification;
- Self-driven and team player
- Good communication skills including the ability to speak, present and write clearly and effectively
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cooperative work relationship with peers and superiors
- Proficiency in relevant WSH legislations, Singapore Standards, Code of Practices and guidelines
