JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for leading and managing the full life cycle R&D projects and product delivery by planning, organizing, executing and evaluating from conception to completion.
- Lead project scoping with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication plans, build project schedules and establish clear project deliverables and milestones.
- Ensure successful delivery of project scope and targets while managing project risk, quality, delivery, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Spearhead design, development, and delivery of R&D solutions to customers through active leadership of motivating and facilitating research rigour across multiple research institute project teams.
- Lead and drive quality, procurement, finance and legal challenges.
- Drive design / process validation testing, best practices and ensure compliance to project lifecycle governance requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of technical / engineering processes and lead teams throughout the project development cycle
- Lead, monitor and report the progress of the multiple projects to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and implement project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables and mitigate risk.
- Interact with industry members and ensure effective communication throughout the project life cycle.
- Create and maintain project record in a Project Management System.
- Lead or support other operational activities of the Project Management Office as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Masters in any engineering / project management related discipline.
- At least 3 years of project management experience in product development or research project would be preferable.
- PMP certifications or equivalent will be advantageous.
- Good business acumen, driven to deliver customer requirements and project deadlines.
- Proactive team player and technically motivated to solve problems, innovate and deliver to internal and external customers.
