Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization
- Ensure company comply with business and employment law
- Overseeing all business transactions and operations comply with the corporate internal policies
- Provide legal support with regards to arbitration, litigation, and adjudication matters
- Work closely with the legal head office on all legal issues
- Work with external legal firms whenever necessary
- Stay up-to-date on local company laws and regulations
- Provide legal training and sharing to employees
- Being company representative to deal with government agencies on all legal matters
- Ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Law (LL.B) or equivalent
- At least 5 - 8 years of legal experience, preferably with commercial/ corporate exposure
- Prior working knowledge in FIDIC, PAM, REDAS, PSSCO, or SIA will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of legal system or regulations with SEA region will be ideal
