Our client, a hotel group, is looking for a Deputy CFO to join their finance team to assist the CFO in overseeing the financial activities of the hotels in the group to ensure fiscal accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the CFO in overseeing the management of the Hotels’ finance team in the Group.
- Coordinate and work closely with hotel senior management to develop financial forecasts and budgets, oversee the preparation of all financial reporting to the Board and ensure that all deadlines are adhered to
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure fiscal accountability
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, provide guidance to Finance team
- Liaise with external authorities, and oversee tax strategies to ensure compliance with local and other applicable regulations
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analysee internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction or improvements
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and other financial information as and when requested by senior management and stakeholders
- Deputise for the CFO in the latter’s absence
Requirements:
- 10 or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
- Chartered Accountant , Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Strong Finance background in the Hotel & Resort industry preferred
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, and able to cope under pressure
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
- Proficient in MS Office and Hotel operation and accounting systems
- Proactive and able to work in a hands-on manner independently
- Willing to travel
