Our client is an established asset management group who is now in an expansion mode with promising growth potential. The group is working on raising third-party capital and is hiring the below role to strengthen its marketing reach and capabilities.
Director, Marketing
In this role, we are seeking for an entrepreneurial self-starter who is senior but willing to work in a hands-on mode. You possess strong institutional marketing exp gained with international blue-chip institutions in the asset management industry. You will be collaborating closely with senior executives in this firm (at the group level) and its affiliates to build an impactful marketing approach in a growth focussed environment.
We are seeking for a seasoned institutional marketing professional (min 15 years of exp) who is tasked to cover both the institutional marketing function (primary focus) and communications function (secondary focus).
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of the marketing campaigns, digital initiatives, and events to enhance brand and to support fundraising.
- Develop a recognition for the firm as a thought leader, drawing from input from the firm and its associated mgt companies.
- Drive thorough, investor focused market, sector, and client related research to identify investor demand trends and support client engagement and interactions.
- Support senior management with impactful presentation materials and potentially speeches.
- Maintain and improve the firm’s internet and social media presence.
- Lead on positioning the firm’s brand and provide strategic advice to the management team including but not limited to media training, developing product messaging, providing guidance to ensure communications strategy alignment through various channels including press, social media, industry event engagement opportunities, webinars, etc.
- Develop a strong appreciation of the Company’s strategies and product offerings to effectively partner with businesses to assist in the promotion of investment products and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure all marketing materials are branded in compliance with the firm’s standards and regulatory requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of experience of institutional marketing exp gained mostly in the asset mgt/ PE industry
- A proven record of institutional marketing in a similar capacity in a principal investor or asset management firm with institutional client experience. Experience gained at the global or regional HQ level is required
- Deep understanding of the fund and investment management and is experienced in managing marketing and communications within a regulated industry.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with strong writing and editorial abilities.
