Research Fellow (Dr Prabath Sampath Lab), A*SRL

A highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow is sought for Dr. Sampath’s laboratory in A*STAR Skin Research Labs, Singapore. This group focuses on exploring and developing RNA therapeutics for various epithelial disorders, including pro-inflammatory skin conditions and cancer. Delineating the underlying molecular mechanisms and visualizing these interactions, the objective is to identify specific targets and develop targeted therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work on multiple projects which involve:

1. Design and development of an innovative RNAi-based strategyfor therapeutic intervention of the target gene;

2. Evaluate the efficacy of the pharmaceutical composition by in-vitro assays, ex-vivo and in-vivo model systems.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Cell Biology or Molecular Biology
  • Capability for conducting high-quality research with a collaborative and international research environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work as a team
  • Willingness and ability to develop new skills
  • Excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills
  • At least one first-author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal
  • Experience in RNA work advantageous
