We are seeking an enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer Level 1 with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Wintel, VMware, Veritas NetBackup, Active Directory, McAfee Endpoint, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and SolarWinds. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our organization's infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Wintel and VMware Administration:Assist in the administration of Windows-based servers and VMware virtualization infrastructure.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and system updates.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Active Directory Management:Assist in the management of Active Directory services, including user and group administration, Group Policy, and domain trusts.
Troubleshoot Active Directory-related issues and implement solutions as needed.
- Veritas NetBackup:Assist in the administration and maintenance of Veritas NetBackup for data protection and disaster recovery.
Perform routine backups and restores, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- McAfee Endpoint Security:Assist in the management and deployment of McAfee Endpoint Security solutions.
Monitor security events and alerts, responding to and remediating threats as necessary.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL):Provide support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Perform system updates, patch management, and software installations as required.
Monitor system performance and optimize configurations for efficiency.
- SolarWinds Monitoring:Assist in the configuration and maintenance of SolarWinds monitoring solutions.
Monitor network and infrastructure health, identifying and addressing potential issues.
Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into system performance and availability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or administration roles.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and VMware virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory administration, including user/group management and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, preferably Veritas NetBackup.
- Knowledge of endpoint security solutions, such as McAfee Endpoint Security.
- Basic understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
- Experience with network monitoring tools, particularly SolarWinds, is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
