The Role: We're looking for a Systems Engineer with a passion for technology, problem-solving, and multitasking. In this critical role, you'll drive the operation and evolution of our tech stack, ensuring high uptime and operational efficiency to support our expanding business.
Responsibilities
Tech Stack Management: Set up, configure, and maintain our tech stack including Shopify and various applications and platforms such as Braintree, PayPal, Stripe, Klaviyo, Zendesk, and more.
System Integration: Ensure seamless data flow by integrating the e-commerce platform with external systems like payment gateways and shipping providers.
Troubleshooting: Identify and solve technical issues related to the e-commerce platform and related integrations. Selenium automation experience and Zendesk troubleshooting skills are a plus.
Performance Optimization: Regularly monitor the platform's stability and performance, making data-backed suggestions for system efficiency and user experience enhancements. Problem-solving skills are essential to tackle various issues efficiently.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the e-commerce website and customer data, including experience with access rights management.
Team Support: Provide timely technical assistance to internal team members and manage user access and permissions.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and share knowledge with team members for effective collaboration.
Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance platform features, security, and workflows. Experience in Shopify and coding, including Python and C++/machine language programming, is beneficial for automating reports, systems, and processes.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in a Systems Engineer role, or a similar capacity, primarily focusing on the management of e-commerce stores on Shopify or similar platforms.
Expertise in Shopify features, APIs, themes, checkout, analytics, apps, and integrations.
Experience integrating third-party applications and Pixel configuration for tracking.
Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, DNS, SSL, CDN) and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GWS, or Google Cloud).
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with Zendesk administration, including ticket management, automations, triggers, and reporting.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in the e-commerce domain (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Problem-solving skills are a must, given the diverse range of issues encountered daily.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, Cpanel, Namecheap.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Clarity.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time position with official working hours: Monday - Friday, 10 am - 7 pm (Singapore time).
