The successful candidate will be part of Coherent Corp, Corporate Finance Team and will report to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis in Warrendale, United States.
The candidate will be based in Singapore with ability to travel 10-15% per year to countries in China, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, United States. The work mode is Hybrid and should be flexible to work outside of Singapore office working hours to provide our end user with a Hyperion support person in additional to time zone in Europe and Rest of Asia.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Managing, supporting, and maintaining the performance of the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Global Consolidation and Reporting system and the Hyperion Planning application to provide global actual, forecast and budget analytics used by management for decision making purposes.
2. Supervise and actively participates in the administration, maintenance, and further development of the capabilities of these financial applications and utilizes these systems to generate information to conduct financial analysis as well as modelling.
3. Serve as the expert and oversee the design and creation of processes and reporting capabilities for the effective use of these software applications, including customized views and reporting capabilities for organizations across the Coherent global organization to ensure their integrity and efficiency.
4. Work closely and collaborate with the leaders of Coherent and the lead finance personnel across the Coherent global organization to develop a thorough knowledge of these financial applications and to satisfy the dynamic requirements of the organization.
5. Manage and prioritize the design of data collection models and processes within Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning to ensure consistent delivery of financial information to the senior leaders and they will be responsible for the development and maintenance of standardized and ad-hoc reporting for forecasting, planning, and monthly actual results.
6. Ensure the organization’s financial plans and policies are implemented and followed including financial planning, financial analysis, financial reporting, accounting processes and practices. This financial data is coordinated on a worldwide basis including consolidating the data into multiple views: Product Line, Business Unit, Segment, Consolidated, Legal, Geographical, Management, etc.
7. Serve as the liaison between Accounting and IT departments to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the financial systems in use.
8. Provide leadership and coordinate the management of security and rights protocols, ensure the integrity and validity of the financial data in the system, oversee the development of the systems consolidated hierarchies, logic scripts, and system rules.
Education and Work Experience:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Science, or related area. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 6 years Financial Systems administration, maintenance, and training of Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning modules.
- Minimum 6 years of combined accounting and/or reporting experience in a global organization.
- Minimum 6 years of developing, deploying and using SmartView reports.
- Minimum 4 years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience preferably in a complex global organization.
- SmartView scripting and design experience preferred.
- Oracle and SAP experience a plus.
- Experience in administering system, user testing and user training related to version upgrades and new releases.
- Ability to blend accounting knowledge and IT logic to recommend and implement improvements to processes and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated problem solving and work prioritization skills.
- Ability to keep up to date with technology and apply to business strategic plan.
- Ability to achieve results independently or working with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with end-users, management and serve as a liaison between the accounting and IT staffs.
