Job Description
- Complies with approved standards of nursing practices
- Assists the RN to supervise nursing aides, health care assistants, health attendants and care associates to ensure comfort and good personal hygiene of the residents under her or his care
- Assists the RN in assessment of new admissions of residents, developing, implementing and assessing care plans to enhance residents’ care and well-being
- Ensures the residents take their medicines. Recording, safe-keeping and administering medication and subcutaneous injections excluding Controlled Drugs
- Carrying out complicated wound dressings
- Investigating and following-up on reports on residents’ condition
- Assisting doctors and visiting consultants during ward rounds and following-up on recommended changes
- Ensuring that medical and nursing records are accurately and promptly documented and properly maintained
Requirements
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Possess a valid Practising Certificate from Singapore Nursing Board
- Ability to manage the Ward well with minimal supervision
- Display qualities in motivating, leading and supervising junior staff
