Reporting to Chief Learning Officer, this position holder is responsible and accountable for leading the design, development, and research for his/her assigned portfolio of existing and new leadership programmes and solutions at HCLI.
Key accountabilities include:
DESIGN: The purpose of this accountability is to think creatively and generate innovative learning solutions.
- Design learning solutions for customised leadership programmes for corporate clients.
- Design new solutions for open enrolment leadership programmes.
- Design includes – but not limited to - content curation and creation, learning design, and innovating on learning solutions, etc.
DEVELOPMENT: The purpose of this accountability is to develop the innovative learning solutions into implementable programmes that produce the desired learning outcomes in support of client’s strategic objectives and learner’s leadership development objectives.
- Develop custom and open-enrolment leadership solutions by collaborating with subject-matter experts, faculty, and partners, etc.
- Development includes – but not limited to – cost and budget estimation, programme evaluations (e.g. after-action review or ‘AAR’), and managing “product life cycles”, etc.
- Development includes – but not limited to – updating existing leadership solutions, grant applications (e.g. SSG funding), and mapping to competency and skills frameworks, etc.
DELIVERY: The purpose of this accountability is to deliver effective learning and a great learning experience for corporate clients and individual learners, and in so doing, deliver on the value created for the client and learner, and capturing the associated value created for HCLI.

RESEARCH: The purpose of this accountability is to deepen expertise and thought leadership in leadership for HCLI as a leading institute of leadership development and you as an individual subject-matter expert.
- Conduct research that contributes to building thought leadership on leadership.
- Conduct research that contributes to innovating on learning solutions.
- Research includes – but not limited to – producing articles for publications like HBR and SMR, writing cases, white papers, opinion pieces, etc.
AD HOC
- Lead and manage ad hoc strategic projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Digitally savvy – to be familiar with learning apps and virtual learning platforms
- Highly organised with good project management skills
- Highly creative and analytical with good problem-solving skills. Able to get things done in complex situation
- Understand fundamental theories and prevailing practices of corporate learning and leadership development
- Experience in instructional design, training delivery, and programme management
- Ability to interact with clients with a strong sense of customer service
- Confident in communicating with all levels of management
- Resourceful, meticulous and must have good financial sense
- Experience in conducting learning needs analysis and proven ability in designing customised programmes for senior executives, either independently or in partnership with an internal programme development team, that resulted in a high success rate of conversion
- Highly entrepreneurial and strong business acumen backed by a wide business network in Asia and beyond; experience in consultative selling, key account management
- Deep knowledge of the Leadership Development field and an interest and understanding of the emerging trends
- Experience in managing and representing a premium brand such as HCLI to a variety of clients and stakeholders from multinational to privately owned and government organisations
- Experience working in a multinational/international environment, working across cultures, is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, presentation skills
- Strong project planning and coordination skills
- Able to adapt easily to new cultural environments, and to communicate with people from a variety of linguistic and educational backgrounds
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience in personality and leadership profiling/ assessment instruments will be an added advantage
- Conversant in a second Asian language is a plus
Education:
- Degree Holder in Organisation Development, Psychology, Training or Business. A Masters or PHD Degree will be advantageous
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Leadership Development/Executive Education/Learning & Development/ Organisational Development, or related Consulting/Professional experience(s).
