We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Windows Server environments to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Windows Server infrastructure, VMware virtualization, and Active Directory services. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's core IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows Server Management:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) across physical and virtualized platforms.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex server-related issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor server performance and capacity to optimize resource utilization.
VMware Virtualization/ vSphere:
- Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure.
- Provision, clone, and manage virtual machines (VMs) in VMware environments.
- Optimize virtualization resources for performance and scalability.
- Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions using VMware technologies.
Active Directory Services:
- Manage and administer Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Design and implement Active Directory architectures based on best practices.
- Ensure secure and efficient authentication and authorization processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory-related issues.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security policies and procedures to protect infrastructure assets.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Participate in security incident response and resolution.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the skillset of the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in managing Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
