The position involves creating and managing software applications designed for marine vessels, encompassing tasks such as designing, coding, testing, and debugging to meet the specific demands of maritime operations. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to grasp user requirements and transform them into practical software solutions, aiming to improve vessel efficiency, safety, and compliance. Moreover, staying abreast of industry standards and new technologies is crucial to enhance the performance and dependability of marine vessel applications continuously.
Responsibilities:
- Data collection and integration from diverse hardware condition monitoring sources.
- Collaboration with hardware engineers, data scientists, and IT teams.
- Implementation of quality assurance checks on data inputs and outputs.
- Ground and on-board vessel commissioning of TruCare DAU.
- Maintenance of dashboards on AVEVA PI Vision.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in computer engineering with strong programming foundations.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python and Java, Beckhoff PLC and Twin Cat software.
- Experience in optical character recognition software deployments using Tesseract or like tools is preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese to liaise with mandarin speaking clients.
- Willing to work in Tuas, with company transport provided.
