Job Purpose
To inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe and optimal operating condition. Here are the details, including but not limited to,
Vehicle Inspection: Thoroughly inspecting vehicles to identify issues or malfunctions, both through visual examination and using diagnostic equipment.
Diagnosis: Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles. This includes using diagnostic tools and interpreting error codes.
Repairs: Conducting necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, such as engine repairs, brake system repairs, transmission repairs, and more, to ensure vehicles function correctly and safely.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform basic maintenance such as oil change, filter change, tire change, and fluid services.
- Able to perform maintenance and repair on the air conditioning.
- Follow strict safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workshop.
- Use specialized diagnostics and tools to troubleshoot and pinpoint the root causes of problems.
- Able to service the air conditioning system.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs, and cost estimates, and addressing customers' questions and concerns.
- Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Specialize in specific areas of automotive repair if applicable.
- Carry out servicing as tasked by Supervisor & adhere to the servicing duration.
- Servicing carry out in accordance RSAF checklist.
- Support recovery (in / out base).
- Carry out troubleshooting on electrical portion.
Skills & Experience Required
- minimum 2 years of experience in related field
- Prior experience in the automotive servicing line (Preferred)
- Valid class 3 & 4
Qualifications / Certifications Required
Primary/Secondary, GCE 'O'/'N', Profesional Certificate/Nitec/Higher Nitec, Diploma/Degree in engineering
