Job Responsibilities
- Estimate costs for Mechatronics/ PCBA / Cables/ E&E modules.
- Assist R&D in selecting components and provide recommendations on potential new technologies.
- Oversee procurement processes and manage resources to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements for NPI projects.
- Optimize product costs through effective procurement management, including strategy development, supplier selection, inquiries, negotiations, and cost calculations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and selected suppliers to ensure alignment in costing and delivered materials, including technical information sharing.
- Advocate for the promotion of material status through manufacturing stages until series production.
- Facilitate design to cost (DTC) or cost reduction processes through structural cost analyses.
- Support Advanced Purchaser/Operative Purchaser during material orders/deliveries and complex engineering changes, involving direct coordination with suppliers.
- Transfer knowledge to commodity managers regarding materials from prototype to production stages.
- Execute assignments as directed by managers.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, with relevant experience preferred; R&D background is advantageous but not mandatory.
