About the Role
This role is a mix of end-user support and SAP project implementation.
As the go-to SAP ABAP Consultant on our lean team, we’ll rely on you to provide solutions and guide decisions that help us overcome our business challenges, whether independently or with our functional consultant.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support end users in their day-to-day issues using a solutions-based approach.
- Come up with the technical solutions and alternatives to solving problems, having analyzed the business requirements, processes, and objectives.
- Implement, customize, and test solutions and develop division-specific enhancements in ABAP to meet business requirements.
- Produce technical documentation, provide knowledge transfer, and conduct end-user training.
- Support the end users, project manager, teammates, and third-party consultants throughout the project lifecycle and post-go-live.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of ABAP programming experience in S/4 HANA.
- SAP functional skills – Configuration and business processes within FICO/ MM/ SD/ PS/ CS.
- Experience with at least three full-cycle implementations.
- SAP technical skills – Debugging and ABAP development (coding in user exits).
- Capacity to guide basis teams to install and configure SAP add-ons.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Ability to set the right expectations for stakeholders and project team and deliver the right solution promptly.
- Capable of communicating effectively with a variety of personality styles.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of initiative and urgency.
- Comfortable presenting in front of groups of 10+.
- Familiarity with SAP and development best practices are desirable attributes.
