Sustainability Engineer

Modec Offshore Production Systems (singapore) Pte. Ltd.

Overall Job Purpose

With minimal guidance, to prepare sustainability deliverables, manage various scope of works defined by corporate or project team effectively and efficiently according to the specified technical requirements, timelines and budget; assist group lead or lead engineer in research and development task and resolve any arising issues during sustainability implementations.


Core Responsibilities

  • With minimal guidance, collects the Lessons Learnt and Life Cycle value improvement ideas, sort out into different categories and coordinates with different disciplines to update/improve design standards.
  • Assists lead engineer to propose, conducts and participates studies of new technology related to Company business, such as CO2 emission calculation and reduction, decarbonatization, Ammonia and so on.
  • Assists lead engineer in strategy planning for new products of Modec business, i.e., offshore wind farm and so on.
  • Assists specialists from Core Team (Technical expert group) to solve the critical issues arising from EPC projects or offshore fleets.
  • Assists R&D lead of the assigned initiatives and monitor the progress for research topics from both Modec entities and external collaborators (universities, research institutes and consultants etc.).
  • Assists lead engineer to implement the sustainability program as required by client specification or classification notation during project bidding / FEED and EPCI stage.
  • Independently communicates with all stakeholders, i.e., consultant, classification body, clients, internal engineering disciplines, to arrange regular meetings, takes lead in certain topics in meetings, prepares minutes of meeting, and progress reporting as and when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in civil/structural/mechanical/ship building/environmental engineering or above. Alternatively, Diploma in Engineering with relevant years of working experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in engineering in oil and gas sector or shipyard industries for bachelor’s degree holder, Minimum 1 year relevant experience for master’s degree holder, or fresh PhD degree holder. For diploma holders, minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
