The key responsibilities are as follows:
The resident engineer is involved with network project.
The detailed tasks assigned to the residence engineer are as follows:
• Involvement with project management activities
• Arrange project resources
• Change Management including participation in the planning, approval, and implementation of any authorized change request
• Generate regular operational reports using Customer-supplied or Huawei’s tools
• Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
• Assist with operational documentation
• Conduct review meetings with Customer at a mutually agreed frequency, no less than monthly, to discuss the engagement status, issues, new requirements, and Customer’s overall satisfaction.
• Coordinate any changes to the Statement of Work (whether cost impacting or not) with Customer in accordance with the Change Control process.
• Meet the customer at the conclusion of the engagement to assure that any applicable responsibilities are turned over to Customer
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
- The person should have 1 to 2 years of network engineer experience with the following skills and competencies:
- Knowledge and experience on IP addressing and subnetting
- Experience with coordinating with multiple vendors for network deployment
- Experience with Infoblox DNS, DHCP support is a plus
- Experience with Cisco / Huawei Routers/Switches and F5 load balancer
- Knowledge and experience in using network management systems, i.e. SolarWinds, Nagios, Netbrain etc. would be a plus
- Pro-active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Meticulous, dateline oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task
- Certifications such as CCNA or equivalent level in networking is an advantage.
- 1-2 years of experience in supporting complex banking IT environment or equivalent
- The person would be expected to report to domain owner
