Job Description:


The General Manager of Endoscopy business reports directly to the Managing Director and manages multiple teams lead by Senior Managers and Managers. He/she has ownership of short to long-term (1-6 years) strategy execution and operational direction in alignment with parent directives from HQ.


He/she assumes overall responsibility of the organisation’s endoscopy business, including sales growth, services, clinical application / activity, engagement of KOLs, regulatory affairs and new business development. Based on his/her rich experience in the endoscopy industry, he/she is strategic and business minded, drives the formulation of business development strategies, sales strategies, new business opportunities, sales channel strategies (alliance partnership, etc) aligned with organisational objectives in the markets across the South-east Asia and South Asia region.


He/she also coordinates with regional partners, such as local subsidiaries and distributors, to identify regional market opportunities that could in turn enhance local positions. In addition, he/she continually strengthens working relationships amongst a diverse network of interested stakeholders to fortify markets already secured and explore other market expansion or penetration opportunities.


Proactive, innovative and forward-thinking, he keeps abreast of market, industry and regulatory trends, including but not limited to attending key international and networking trade or industry events to identify opportunities locally and regionally. He also serves as a mentor to direct reports and provides strategic guidance. He/she is also a self-motivated individual, who possesses a strong drive to succeed amidst an evolving business environment.


Job Requirement:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related field.
  • 10 years or more experience in the Flexible Endoscopy business and industry.
  • 5 years or more experience of proven success in leading and/or launching sales and marketing activities regionally or globally in the endoscopy industry.
  • 5 years or more experience in developing new and managing regional channel sales, working and/or collaborating with relevant channel stakeholders.
  • Proven success in winning government and public hospital tenders; including project management in the execution phase.
  • Experience in planning trade/industry conferences or events (clinical); collaborating with KOLs to access target audience.
  • Possess experience of being in attendance during clinical procedures in endoscopy treatment rooms.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese in advantageous when collaborating with KOLs in events, conferences, who are influential Japanese speaking physicians / specialists in the Endoscopy field.
