The incumbent will play a vital role executing the Accounting processes, support in the budget forecasting and planning activities, work closely within Finance team in identify, proposing & supporting the implementation of various key projects to improve the Finance systems, tools and processes.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1. Accounting closing process (monthly, quarterly & yearly) :
- Support the Accounting team in checking & analysing SAP data during the closing process, especially revenue & profitability;
- Analyse & explain the impact of major currency exchange movements.
- Prepare local management reporting & explain results after analysis;
- Report data into group consolidation system, ensuring accuracy of data;
- Perform Sales / COGS / Expenditure variance analysis;
- Maintain profitability calculation system and upload and process SAP data into this system;
- Forecast, Budget (half yearly) & Medium Term Plan (annually) preparation :

- Prepare communication & templates for data collection from respective sources;
- Perform Sales / COGS / Expenditure checking & variance analysis;
- Prepare management reporting & presentation material;
- Report data into group consolidation system, ensuring accuracy of data;
- Upload final budget numbers into SAP by cost center.
3. Other projects/initiatives:
- Identify, propose & support the implementation of improvements;
- Support the Group Financial, Planning & Analysis team whenever needed;
- Perform ad hoc studies as & when needed, and participate in projects.
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder with at least 4-5 years of Commercial Accounting experience.
- Current/ previous experience working across Asia Pacific region in an automotive companies will be preferred or in consumer goods, electronics, and/or advertising industry.
- Strong Finance and Accounting Management, Financial Budgeting and project management skillset
- Knowledge of accounting software/tools (e.g. SAP Finance, Tableau) would have added advantageous.
- Must be proficient in Business English and Business Japanese in order to communicate clearly and fluently with the respective counterparts in the Global Headquarter and the Group Companies in the region. Ability to communicate in other language(s) would have added advantage.
