Description:
- To assist the Authority’s appointed consultants and Resident Technical Officer (RTO) in carrying out supervision works on site.
- To keep and maintain site record on progress of works, instructions given to contractors,materials delivered to site, daily activities and weather conditions at site, number of workers and visitors at site and any other significant information.
- To supervise and keep records of day works.
- To attend site / co-ordination meeting as directed.
- To assist in enforcing the safety requirements.
- To comply with Authority’s appointed consultants’ Quality Assurance Procedure for construction works.
- To carry out site supervision and inspection of the works including any off-site manufacturing as instructed by the Authority’s appointed consultants to ensure that the works are constructed to required quality and accuracy.
- To monitor progress of the works on site and at any off-site manufacturing facilities and report delays immediately.
- To provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Authority’s appointed consultants.
- To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including records of tests, inspections, status of works, safety, site diary, materials and equipment on site, labour,dayworks, provisional quantities, etc.
- To check that contractor executes preliminaries items.
- To check services routes and contractor’s setting out and report any deviations to the Authority’s appointed consultant team.
- To verify reports and claims submitted by contractors.
- To record all variations as instructed or approved by Authority’s appointed consultants.
- To attend to Authority’s appointed contractor’s queries and co-ordinate works by Authority’s appointed main contractor and his appointed direct contractors.
- To inspect and take over completed works.
- To supervise and witness testing commissioning of M&E services or systems.
- To provide weekly reports of site activities and problems on-site, including how they were resolved.
- Attend meetings in the Authority and the Authority’s appointed consultants’ offices when necessary to discuss issues arising on-site.
- To familiarize with the drawings, and contract specifications and highlight deviations.
- To monitor and report on the contractor’s progress and performance and maintain site records of the works which should include all circumstances and events occurring during the construction stage.
- To attend TOP or CSC inspections by Registered Inspectors, BCA and all other relevant authorities’ representatives for each respective discipline.
- To carry out and report assessment on Construction Quality Assessment system (CONQUAS).
Requirement:
- Diploma from Polytechnic in relevant discipline or hold an equivalent qualification.
- Preferably 5 years local supervision as a resident technical officer for Architectural, Civil, and Structural works.
