You will work in the Thin Film Coating Department and be responsible for equipment maintenance, installation, and sourcing.
These include high vacuum PVD systems and ultrasonic cleaning lines.
You will also provide engineering support for fast-moving manufacturing operations to maximize equipment efficiency and product yields, using FMEA & SPC techniques. You are expected to contribute innovative and practical solutions to the engineering environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for 24-hour equipment uptime & efficiency.
- Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upgrading of equipment.
- Sourcing, qualification & installation of new equipment.
- Preventive maintenance (PM) program to ensure good equipment running condition, minimizing operational downtime & yield losses. These include support equipment such as gas delivery systems, acid-stripping benches, ultrasonic cleaning systems for tools, and sandblasting equipment.
- Completion of assigned projects and tasks on time and within budget.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- NITEC or Technical certificate with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- For candidate with no working experience - Diploma or Degree.
- Must study subject related to electrical with Pass result.
- Must pass color vision test as you will be dealing with electrical wiring.
- Capable in the simple tool, jig, fixture, and facility design.
- Experience in High Vacuum and Thin-film coating is preferred.
- Knowledge of instrumentation control, Auto CAD & high vacuum technology, and robotic systems are a plus.
- Must commit to work 12-hour rotating shifts from timing 8 to 8 including weekends and public holidays.
- *Work environment: Clean aircon room with normal dust coat attire.
- *PPE: Required to wear a tight-fit respirator when necessary for safety reason
- *Will be exposed to low-level radiation. Safety protection measures will be in place.
