Job Description
In partnership with the Relationship Managers, the Senior Associate, Corporate Banking (Transportation & FI) is responsible in preparing the documentation for credit application and monitoring bilateral borrowing, loan syndication, and handling on credit application, credit review, internal risk rating, and any ad-hoc periodic. Support the Corporate Banking team in developing and driving the Corporate Banking strategy and achieving its business goal. Coordinate with key internal stakeholders across the network. Provide relevant MIS to enable the achievement of business aspirations and balance sheet momentum.
- Perform financial analysis, spread sheets for the application of credit facility
- Evaluate and understand the financial risk associated with borrower and produce quality credit review periodically
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policy and in line with MAS regulations required for all borrower transaction
- Visit clients when required in order to achieve a clear understanding of borrowers’ profile and identify market risk associated
- Handle customers’ inquiries, liaise and develop relationship and business with Head Office, overseas branches and inter-departments as well as corporate customers
- Act as the main contact and information source in the Corporate Banking team, coordinate internal and external lines of communications with various stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Risk, Operations and Head Office colleagues).
- Support the Corporate Banking team in various group initiatives such as competitor review, market trend analysis and formulating the Corporate Banking pitch book/related marketing materials
- Co-ordination of meetings and papers, agenda formulation, project tracking and updates, action points tracking from key management meetings
- Develop various reports and presentations for management review
- Ensure timely updates of all internal and external communications/presentations
- Engage in ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned
- Perform Know-Your-Customer onboarding in compliance with the MAS regulation for all customers
Job Requirement
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Business or any related discipline
- 1-3 years’ relevant experience within the Banking industry, Corporate Banking space focusing on Aviation and Shipping Finance
- In depth credit/accounting knowledge and good understanding of financial analysis and KYC/AML
