Description:
- You oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical aspects of construction projects. This involves working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that M&E systems meet design specifications, budgetary constraints, and deadlines.
- You are responsible for preparing project budgets, monitoring costs, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible. This includes accurately estimating material and labor costs, negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, and tracking expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring that M&E installations meet industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements is a critical aspect of your role. You conduct inspections, quality checks, and audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them is essential for the successful completion of construction projects. You assess risks related to M&E systems, such as technical failures, safety hazards, and environmental impacts, and develop contingency plans to address them.
- Leading a team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, you provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure that project objectives are achieved. Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are vital for fostering a productive working environment and resolving conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.
- Staying abreast of technological advancements in M&E systems and construction methods is crucial for optimizing project efficiency and performance. You evaluate new technologies, tools, and software solutions that can enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve the overall quality of M&E installations.
- Promoting sustainable practices and energy-efficient design principles is becoming increasingly important in the construction industry. You explore renewable energy options, implement energy-saving measures, and seek opportunities to minimize the environmental footprint of M&E systems.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is essential for securing new projects and fostering repeat business. You collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Degree in M&E recognized by PEB or with a BCA M&E coordination certificate
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience as M&E Manager in large scale projects.
- Highly motivated and independent with excellent team spirit and communication skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills/people management skills, good communication skills and negotiation skills and possess strong leadership qualities
- Efficient, Good Analytical Skills and Able to work independently.
- Proven track records of successful project completion on time and on budget or exceeding expectations will be well regards.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
