Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance and Improvement: Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive quality management plan annually. This includes working with an independent Quality Control Review Department to resolve accounting and audit issues, ensuring all quality control measures are in line with company standards, and implementing quality systems throughout the company.
- Educational and Technical Leadership: Educate staff on technical areas, new pronouncements, and quality management techniques. This includes leading a team of Quality Engineers, Quality Control inspectors, Quality Assurance Pharmacists, and Quality Managers to foster a culture of quality.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the maintenance and updating of underwriting guidelines and policies to assure conformity with regulatory and GSE guidance or requirements. Ensure the plant's processes are compliant and efficient, reviewing operational changes to ensure adequate inspection oversight.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as an ambassador for the company, communicating guideline changes clearly and concisely to all affected parties. This also involves interaction with Committees, Senior Management, auditors, legal, Compliance, and regulators regarding activities within the scope of quality control.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Keep abreast of new procedures or techniques through training, reading, and other activities. This is crucial for staying informed on industry developments that may affect products or services provided by the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or previous experience in quality management or auditing.
- High level of technical aptitude and knowledge, ideally in a scientific field related to concrete or construction materials.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of efficiency and to think logically and independently.
Skills and Abilities: • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to make decisions and manage others.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and certifications relevant to the ready-mix concrete industry.
- Ability to influence people by making good judgments and handling criticism with tact and diplomacy.
