Our Client is a Regional Distributor of passive and electromechanical electronic components, and is seeking to recruit a Field Application Engineer (Electronic Components).
Field Application Engineer (Electronic Components)
Responsibilities:
· Understand and deliver full gamut of solutions for applications adopting PCBA level components & modules.
· Ability to understand a customer’s needs and probe for answers, and then determine a solution and advocate that solution to the customer.
· Deliver suppliers presentations, product introductions, and technical sales training for the overseas sales team.
· Develop and execute successful demand creation strategies for customers using both Company and Supplier resources.
· Work closely with Suppliers to fully understand their product portfolio and their technological competitive advantages.
· Engage existing and new customers, working closely with their Product Development and Design engineers into adopting our Components/Products in their product specifications.
· Providing technical support to the customers during their complete design cycle, from design specification until mass production.
· Require regional travel to support overseas team.
Requirement:
· Entry Level candidates with prior relevant experience are welcome to apply.
· More than 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
· Professional Certificate/NiTEC/Diploma/Degree - Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
· Effective communication, presentation, organizational and negotiation skills.
· Mobility to travel for business trips.
· Experience as a Field Application Engineer in a semiconductor distributor or supplier environment, and/or experience in a R&D environment in the electronics sector will be an advantage.
· Hands-on experience in hardware / firmware design, PCB layout will also be will be an advantage.
