Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Singapore for a Visual Merchandiser. The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for creating and implementing compelling and visually appealing window displays to attract and engage customers. The Visual Merchandiser will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining the store's overall visual aesthetic, ensuring all product displays are visually merchandised to the highest standard, and providing excellent customer service to customers in store.
• Understand the influence that visual merchandising has on the psychological behaviour of consumers
• Keep abreast with industry and market trends
• Project management around conceptualising and executing monthly in-store displays
• Prepare VM reports, analyse sales movement and effectiveness of window and in-store displays
• Actively contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that grow the business and support long term profitability and execute the agreed plans in close co-operation with other functions;
• Actively contribute to gathering insights about store layout and range presentation and translating this knowledge into relevant and inspiring store solutions that will support a convenient shopping experience and reflect the local needs of life at home;
• Ensure visual merchandising and promotional displays are prepared and setup in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maximise selling opportunities through effective VM implementation that is in line with corporate guidelines and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills (Mandarin and English)
- Strong retail and sales experience
- Experience in creating visually compelling and attractive window displays
- Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with others
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to workflow and hours on an ad-hoc basis
- Holding a minimum Diploma / Degree in Visual Merchandising, Exhibition Design, Visual Communications or similar
