Key tasks and responsibilities
The Mechanical Completion (MC) Coordinator shall be responsible for:
- Maintaining a good understanding of the Project MC process
- Have a good understanding of Project Completions Databases used to manage MC execution
- Follow project schedules to ensure systems/sub systems handover as per the project schedule follow project priorities in accordance with Commissioning requirements
- Be able to motivate and manage all personnel involved in the MC Process in a professional manner to ensure on time MC Handover
The MC Coordinator may assist in the preparation of the project Mechanical Completion activities including:
- Assign system/sub-systems to tagged equipment, based on commissioning system / sub-system boundaries
- Assign electronic MC checksheets to tagged equipment
- Validate Completions database and ensure all tagged equipment has been assigned MC checksheets
- Ensure system and sub systems certificates including Discipline Acceptance Certificates (DAC) and Sub
- System Acceptance certificates (SAC) have been assigned
- Ensure Management of Change Process is enforced for all Database changes
- Assist in execution of the project Mechanical Completion activities including:
- Ensure compliance to the HSSEQ requirements, within the area of responsibility
- Coordinate MC Closeout is executed in accordance with the Project commissioning schedule
- Ensure MC Checksheets are completed electronically using Tablets and completed checks are uploaded into the Completions Database
- Ensure Punchlists are being raised and closed out electronically in the Completions Database for all sub systems based on priority handover requirements
- Coordinate the handover of sub-systems and systems to Commissioning and be the “Gate keeper” for the Tri-Party Walks, within site or area of responsibility
- Coordinate closeout of electronic DACs and SACs in Completions Database
- Coordinate the Mechanical Completion resources to facilitate handovers of Sub systems
- Ensure the MC E-dossiers are completed and issued to Commissioning for approval
- Provide progress reports on completion status

The holder of this position has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated above
Qualification requirements
Education
Must be an Engineering Degree/ Engineering Diploma holder or can verify long relevant experience that may
replace formal education.
Experience
- Have at least 10+ years extensive experience in a similar role
- Have at least 10+ experience with FPSO / offshore oil & gas projects
- Interpersonal skills
- Excellent team spirit and proactive attitude.
- High interpersonal skills and cultural awareness with multi-cultural workforce.
- Must have the ability to foresee potential issues and eliminate those issues before they arise.
- Work and communicate well with all parties, including parties that may be hostile to the role
- High analytical capabilities.
- Ability to deliver high quality work on time.
