IT Project Manager

Overview of the job

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Project / Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for determining and defining the scope and objectives of medium to large projects. You will predict the resources required to achieve project objectives and effectively manage these resources. Additionally, you will oversee multiple stages of large IT projects and develop budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements. It will be your responsibility to track project costs and ensure they align with the budget. You will also create and manage detailed project schedules for medium to large projects or multiple project stages. Regularly providing project updates to stakeholders and the project board is a crucial part of this role. Furthermore, you will assist in managing contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables. Throughout the project execution, you will apply industry and company best practices, techniques, and standards. Monitoring progress, making adjustments as needed, and measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement will also be part of your responsibilities.

Your team

You are going to report directly to the AMA Supply Chain IT (MOSS&S) Leader (Senior Director), co-located with you in Singapore, being part of his team in Leading AMA GBS Market Operations Supply Chain Solutions and Services delivering Cost & Cash savings with AI/ML based touchless forecasting and smart advanced ordering, as well as Cost Saving with Digital Transportation and warehousing, Platform transformation such as Asia SCPT and SAP to Cloud programs.

Responsibilities of the role

• Define and establish the scope and objectives of medium to large-scale projects.
• Predict and allocate necessary resources to achieve project objectives.
• Efficiently manage resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and manage multiple stages of large projects.
• Develop and create budgets based on project scope and resource requirements.
• Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with the budget.
• Create and manage detailed project schedules.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and the project board.
• Assist in managing contracts with vendors and suppliers, including task assignment and communication of deliverables.
• Apply industry and company best practices, techniques, and standards during project execution.
• Continuously monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Measure project performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance policies and practices.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Foster effective third-party management and vendor relationships.
• Support solution operations and services management.
• Contribute to product management and portfolio management activities.
• Embrace Agile methodologies and practices in project execution.
• Demonstrate proficiency in DevOps principles and practices.
• Facilitate efficient and effective project management using Scrum framework.
• Uphold professional standards as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Required Qualifications

• Strong background and experience in Information Technology Project Management.
• Proficiency in managing third-party relationships and vendors.
• Knowledge of IT Governance principles and practices.
• Experience in solution operations and services management.
• Familiarity with product management and portfolio management.
• Possession of Agile DevOps Foundation Certification from the DevOps Institute.
• Professional Scrum MasterTM level 1 (PSM 1) certification from Scrum.org.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
