StarMed is a one-stop day-surgery and multi-disciplinary medical centre that offers quality day surgeries n diagnostic services at competitive private sector prices. We are now looking for a Recovery Nurse to support the functions at our Day-Surgery & Endoscopy Centre.
The successful candidate will be performing the following duties, but not limited to:
- Manage patient admission / transfer / discharge procedures.
- Perform perioperative assessment of patient for surgery / Endoscopy procedure.
- Receive immediate post procedure patient in recovery, assess status and provide appropriate care.
- Vital signs monitoring (Temp, HR, RR, SPO2).
- Demonstrates proper airway management techniques.
- Recognises signs and symptoms of patient’s condition that indicate potential post procedure or anaesthesia related complications and report to anaesthesiologist immediately.
Qualification / Work Experience Requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing, at least 2 years of Ambulatory surgery or acute hospital recovery setting.
- Competent in monitoring patient with sedation.
- Experience in monitoring patients and care of patients in recovery.
- Knowledge in serving oral medication and IM injection as ordered.
- Knowledge in use of infusion pump as needed.
- Competent in giving patient post op instruction and discharge instruction as indicated.

Basic Salary / Working Hours / Annual Leave:
- Salary range: $3000 and above, depends on working experience relevant to job scope
- Work week: 5.5-day work (Sunday and PH off), occasional overnight duty (additional overnight allowance, overnight pay or time claim)
- Annual Leave: 21 days / 18 days

StarMed Specialist Centre, right above Farrer Park MRT station.
