job summary:
Oversee procurement of essential project equipment and materials, ensuring adherence to budget, project specifications, and delivery timelines. Managing the procurement lifecycle in their assigned domain, addressing requests from PMT to subordinate staff. In addition to Purchasing and Sourcing, the Procurement Lead is accountable for tasks like expediting, inspection, logistics, and material control.
job scope:
- Establishes and maintains long-term supplier alliances for competitive prices and reduced transaction costs.
- Develops Bidders Lists, issues RFQs, conducts Bid Opening, and leads commercial negotiations for optimal deals.
- Ensures Purchase Orders align with procedures and regulations, negotiates Change Orders, and addresses invoice discrepancies.
- Administers Back Charges, resolves Document Control queries, and oversees Corrective Action Requests and Warranty Claims.
- Implements a traceable performance evaluation system and coordinates expediting, inspection, logistics, and material control functions.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
- Professional experience applying comprehensive knowledge of purchasing or materials management principles and practices in the oil and gas industry
