Quality Assurance & Control Engineer

What will you do?

  • Schedule planning, monitoring, and re-planning in a collaborative mode with the project teams (internal & external).
  • Coordinate with relevant disciplines to review contents of system walk down packs, address outstanding issues (e.g. engineering, defects, etc.) prior to actual walk down and conduct system pre-walk downs.
  • Coordinate with Client walk down coordinator to ensure system walk down activities are executed on schedule in accordance to Project and Client requirements.
  • Prepare weekly progress reporting to the Client / Customer and including progress, areas of concern, delays and where help his need.
  • Share Lessons Learned with previous Project to support best practice across all teams.
  • Audit schedule and training plans and track metrics for key Quality-related activities.
  • Track and ensure timely closure of punch items to facilitate system handover to Client Deliverables.
  • Prepare Quality-related SOP/Plans/Reports as scheduled.
  • Create an atmosphere where the Customer sees value in working with Schneider Electric.
  • Generate Project high-level Plans/Guidelines to provide roadmap for key Quality related activities.
  • Ensure Quality databases are updated regularly and generate progress reports.
  • Provide support and advice on Quality-related issues and resolution of engineering-related disputes.
  • Be seen as the trusted advisor for our customer.

What qualifications will make you successful?

In this role practical experience will carry a high weighting than formal qualifications: -

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any other related discipline from recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in BMS, HVAC, or Industrial Controls / Automation industry.
  • Has an excellent working knowledge of the technical and operational environment in which the project deliverables are created and in which they are used.
  • Must be an excellent communicator at all levels both internal and external in the project environment, be proactive and be able to adapt to a dynamic and geographically disbursed environment.
  • Skilled in use of open weekly progress reporting to the Client / Customer and including progress, areas of concern, delays and where help his need.
  • Skilled in risk & opportunity methods to enhance the project delivery across design and execution phases such as design workshops, off-site testing / validation (Client / Customer & Vendors).
  • Skilled in continuous resource planning throughout the Project to ensure resource availability and control resource costs.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Position is to be base at client’s site.
