Job Description
As a Research Scientist, you will contribute to the research, design and development of haptics enabled wearables. You will work with the team to develop haptics enabled wearables that fulfil clients’ requirements and work towards commercialization of the technology.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform research, design, development and testing of sensors and haptics.
• Contribute to the smart fabric engineering and its integration.
• Passionate about product design, design for manufacturability, product improvement.
• Conduct system testing, debugging, and issue tracking, including root cause failure analysis.
• Produce design documentation and execute test procedures.
• Develop and execute verification/validation testing strategy.
• Works independently with work checked on a regular basis.
• Demonstrate technical competency and independent solution thinking.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s / MSc / PhD in Industrial Design / Mechatronics / Textile Engineering.
• Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in sensors / haptics fabrication.
• Experienced in the use of general engineering lab equipment.
• Fine hand skills for soldering and other similar benchtop electronics assembly processes.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing, PCBA assembly processes and issues will be advantageous.
