The Care Staff is part of a team of Care Givers in a residential setting (Secular Home) for boys and youths.
The key responsibilities are to work in close liaison with the Head of Home and the clinical team to:
1) Form secure attachment/bonds with the residents.
2) Provide guidance for positive behaviour.
3) Inculcate good habits and values amongst the residents.
4) Meet the needs of the residents and monitor their progress.
5) Work with a team of Care Staff within the Home to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the residents to develop.
6) Must seek to respond in a calm manner when residents are exhibiting difficult behaviour.
7) Provide updates on residents' daily school going needs and advise the team and stakeholders.
