What do we look for:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM)- Education vertical to spearhead our ASIA region. As the Asia Manager - Education Vertical, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development efforts within the education sector across the Asia region for SALTO Systems. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth in the education vertical. Your strategic insights will shape our approach to customer engagement, product development, and market penetration.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate the education market segment in Asia, with a focus on universities, schools, and educational institutions.
● Identify and prioritize key accounts and opportunities within the education sector, building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
● Actively engage with decision-makers, including facility managers, IT directors, and procurement officers, to understand their access control needs and requirements.
● Provide product demonstrations, presentations, and proposals to potential clients, effectively articulating the value proposition of SALTO Systems' solutions.
● Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, technical support, and product development, to ensure alignment of strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
● Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments related to electronic access control and security solutions in the education sector.
● Attending industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent SALTO Systems and foster relationships with potential clients and partners.
● Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company, consistently driving revenue growth and market share expansion in the education vertical.
Key Duties for Vertical Lead:
● Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within the education sector across Asia.
● Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the unique needs of the education vertical, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
● Client Acquisition: Identify, engage, and acquire new educational clients by showcasing the benefits of Salto Systems' digital lock and key solutions.
● Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within educational institutions.
● Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of Salto Systems' product offerings and updates, ensuring the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.
● Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to provide insights for product enhancement and to ensure effective marketing campaigns targeting the education vertical.
● Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue growth of Salto Systems in the Asia region.

Qualifications and Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree, with honors, in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
● Possess accredited certifications by locksmith institute / association in advanced locksmith training courses. Candidates with prior working knowledge and / or technical knowledge of Salto Systems’ products are preferred.
● Proven track record of successfully selling enterprise grade door hardware and / or enterprise physical security systems to educational institutions in the Asian region. Successful involvements in large educational institute projects (i.e. contract values > SGD 1m) preferred.
● 15 or more years of working experience in the sales team of global manufacturers is preferred.
● 5 or more years of distributor / dealer / partner management experience for distribution regionally.
● Strong understanding of enterprise door hardware and software systems industry, including but not limited to, competitive environment, related technology standards and associated regulations.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Ability to travel within the region as needed.
