We seek a highly motivated, skilled, and independent postdoctoral research fellow with a strong background in AI and applied field robotics to join our research center and proactively lead the ongoing and upcoming projects. Candidates should process substantial experience in field robotics, AI, leadership in academic/industrial collaboration, and a demonstrated excellent understanding in the following topics: Deep learning, Localization and mapping, and autonomous navigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and propose real-time semantic segmentation algorithms
- Develop a moving objects/humans prediction system and algorithms
- Motion planning for safe and efficient mobile manipulator operation
- Technical write up and presentation
- Work closely with ASTAR RIs on system integration and testing
- Contribute to writing of research grant proposals including literature survey
- Writing progress report
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field and a promising publication (or patent) record
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: robotics perception systems, machine learning, deep learning
- Experience in robot simulation systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to think independently
- Good communication skills in English – both written and verbal
