Job Description & Requirements
Purpose of Job:
- Work closely with the Allied Health Services Team in nutrition screening and care coordination.
- Promote nutrition literacy and cancer preventive lifestyle among the public.
- Plan and develop community outreach programmes and cancer education workshops.
- Connect clients with cancer to relevant resources and aid beyond 365CPS where appropriate.
Key responsibility areas
Community Nutrition
- Plan, develop and conduct educational programs and workshops, such as public health talks and cooking demonstrations.
- Engage the population to adopt healthy eating behaviour and healthy food choices in the community.
Nutrition Advocacy
- Create educational material about healthy eating habits through marketing collaterals e.g., quarterly newsletter, recipe books, blog posts, etc.
Food Service
- Support Social Service Centre’s kitchen menu revision and evaluation.
- Assist in kitchen food safety and hygiene audit to evaluate kitchen cleanliness.
Referral & External Stakeholder Liaison
- Refer clients to relevant information or resources specific to their needs, including referral to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Work closely with the clinical team to ensure best practice and high-quality care.
Requirements
- Diploma in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Service or equivalent
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
