Job Summary
Our client is looking for an Application Specialist who has strong domain knowledge in eFX to enhance and support the trading applications
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information System;
- Sound knowledge of Financial Markets products;
- At least 3-5 years of experience in FX trading systems;
- At least 3-5 years of experience in providing L2 / L3 support;
- Experience in trading analytics application will be an added advantage;
- Possess experience in UNIX Shell / Perl Scripting, RDMS, and SQL;
- Good analytical and problem solving skills;
- Effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with business users;
- Independent, proactive and demonstrate 'can-do' mentality;
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results;
- Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
Desired Skill-set
- ITIL Certified;
- Knowledge / experience with KDB+ time series database and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing L2 / L3 support for eFX and related trading applications;
- Fix bugs, troubleshoot and analyze on the root cause analysis;
- Collaborate closely with other internal technical / business teams to implement permanent solution;
- Follow escalation procedures during outages;
- Write SQL scripts and suggest automation to improve efficiency / effectiveness of support team;
- Adhere to change management requirements for application and system implementations.
