Description:
Follows established procedures and guidelines to design, install products and services that is required by the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Reviews /implements project/job specification.
• Review engineering documents for government submission and for construction.
• Carry out basic and detailed engineering design including calculations / analysis as per project requirements.
• Prepares and updates material take-off for project procurement and bid proposals.
• Assists in preparing cost estimate for tender proposal.
• Coordinates and cooperates with other disciplines on new process requirements, design interference check and design changes.
• Adheres to ISO, client and International Standards quality requirements in the execution of works as applicable.
• Instructs, supervises, manages and monitors the Designers in the course of work.
• Provides technical assistance to construction team.
• Attends site check/verification.
• Adheres to drawing checking procedure.
• Performs electrical calculations on cable sizing, system studies, etc.
• To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
• To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
Requirements:
• Preferably Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Preferably 5 years relevant working experience in design of plants related to projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or Pharmaceutical Industries
• Well-versed in all local and international codes and standards on the related field
• Computer literate and good hand-on experience on applications such as Microsoft Office, CAD Drafting, Electrical design software,
