A joint venture between Rolls-Royce and SIA Engineering Company, Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) is the world’s largest Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility for all variants of the Rolls-Royce Trent engines. Responsibilities
· Ability to review Engine Manual to verify area of part to be dressed, polished and replacement of defective component on part. Confirm jobs performed to meet requirements according to Engine Manual specification
· Record and sign off on all applicable data defined in the PMO
· Report all incoming problems, inaccuracies in Engine Manual, damaged parts and/or tooling and fixtures to General Repairs Lead
· Make appropriate use of materials, equipment and documentation available in the Shop-floor
· Follow in-process inspection procedures as needed to verify current operation meets customer and technical plan requirements
· Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy requirements:
· Keeping work area neat and orderly at all times
· Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· Wearing appropriate respiratory gear when working inside thermal spray booth
· Completion of assigned spray operation in timely, accurate manner per work instruction
· Attention to detail with a focused goal of zero rework
· Excellent record of attendance with ability to work overtime as needed
· Assisting supervisor in developing processes that will improve operations
· Ability to perform mechanical measurements (micrometer, calipers, etc.)
· Documentation skills with basic MS Office understanding
· Perform the setup of equipment, tooling and materials for various applications with minimal supervision
· Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout Fitting cell and Shop-floor
· Experience in the following processes will be an advantage: riveting, drilling, bonding, grit / pencil blasting, bush replacement, cleaning, blending, seized bolt removal, wire thread insert replacement, masking
Requirements
· Minimum Diploma or ITE Certification in Mechanical or related Discipline
· At least 2 years of experience in sheetmetal in Aerospace
