Requirements for a Vessel IT Executive:
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and software/hardware maintenance.
- Maritime Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of IT systems in the maritime industry, including knowledge of maritime communication protocols and regulations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot IT issues onboard vessels and develop effective solutions in a maritime environment with limited resources.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with vessel crew members, shore-based personnel, and external vendors.
