The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, invites outstanding early-career researchers to apply for the position of Nanyang Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) in Materials Science and Engineering.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Establish an independent and internationally recognised research programme and collaborate extensively with local/overseas research institutions.
• Secure competitive external funding, in addition to the Nanyang Assistant Professorship (NAP) start-up grant, to support the research programme (such as the competitive Singapore National Research Foundation Fellowship: https://www.nrf.gov.sg/grants/nrff/)
• Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.
• Participate in departmental, university and professional service activities.
The candidate should:
• Have a strong track record in academic research relating to the materials science and engineering discipline.
• Have a proven track record of early-career achievements and the demonstrated potential to lead an independent research group.
• Have a strong track record in publishing research articles in top-ranked international peer-reviewed journals and other forms of publication within the research community.
• Have the demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding and/or fellowships.
Qualification:
• Must be an early career researcher.
• Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or a closely related field obtained within the last 10 years.
• Postdoctoral training in the relevant fields.

2. CV with Full Publication List (include information on citation and impact factor). Additional Information such as conference presentations, records of competitive grants, patents filed/granted, awards/recognitions, and no. of graduate students supervised, will be helpful.

5. Teaching Evaluation (if applicable)
6. Sample Research Papers
7. At least three [3] external referee reports. Referees must be at least Associate Professor or above.
