Description
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the skill and experience in managing AS400, HPNS and Core Unix (AIX and Solaris) technologies, be it in the cloud or on-premises. Collaborative team player with ability to learn new technologies quickly and proactive self-starter with a solutions-focused mindset. The head of Core System lead should have excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills. Work cross-functionally to determine root causes of issues, develop mitigation strategies and build support for initiatives. The candidate should demonstrate the knowledgeable of data center architecture and technologies, familiarity with infrastructure solutions and systems. Strong skill in analyzing requirements from application, designing architectures and developing roadmaps.
Responsibilities
· Providing and/or helping to establish and execute best practices for AS400, HPNS and UNIX platform and ensure that these best practices are adopted and executed in all aspect of operation implementation in the bank.
· Familiar with custom TACL, CL or RPG for system monitoring and automation of system job.
· Provide hands-on technical leadership to drive the infrastructure services roadmap.
· Experience in administer and troubleshoot complex AS400, HPNS and UNIX systems, ensure banking services are available to all customers.
· Supporting the development and delivery of operating processes, play books and standard operation procedures.
· Update all project stakeholders on the project status and progress.
· Collaborate with application stake holders and technical teams to advise executives on strategic value-based innovations and insights.
· Hired, retain and motivate the entire regional engineering team for AS400/HPNS/UNIX and Mainframe.
· Coordinate with internal and external audit team to prepare for and participate in the annual internal audit and external regulatory audits exercise.
· Hands on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting.
· Proven ability to operate under pressure and meet challenging deadlines with minimum supervision.
· Willingness and demonstrate capability to lead, assimilate, and act upon large amounts of information rapidly.
· Highly organized with strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact professionally and appropriately at all levels of the organization.
· Must be confident, passionate to explain and share technology, ability to articulate complex technical concept or requirement.
· Positive attitude towards continuous learning.
· Work closely with risk and prevention team or information security team in addressing risks gaps in all platforms.
· Annual MA negotiations with vendor, vendor SLA management as well as vendor performance benchmark
· Function as subject matter expert on open system technology and Mainframe class machine technology, coaching team members to achieve service level objective.
· Ensure technology platform availability compliance to service level agreements.
· Ensure regularly test a disaster recovery plan on all critical services.
· Ensure the needed level of infrastructure diagram and documentation are produced and maintained.
Experiences and Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology / Business Systems or equivalent degree.
· Knowledge in managing Mainframe z/OS, IBM i/OS, HPE NonStop (Tandem).
· Knowledgeable in managing Open System operating system such as AIX and Solaris.
· In depth knowledge in high availability architecture design for servers and storage.
· In depth knowledge in managing critical information infrastructure running in different platform with high availability design.
· Extensive experience in incident management.
· Strong knowledge in performance management and capacity planning in the large environment.
· Exposure to ITIIL concepts and adoption.
