Job Objectives
The GTO Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver projects spanning multiple business units. Delivering projects within stage gate controls and project SDLC guidelines (SDM5) while managing issues, risks, dependencies, and project change will be core competencies for the role. The GTO Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified boundaries of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder and Communications Management
l Manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.
l Continually manage stakeholder expectations through governance processes
l Deliver appropriate and effective executive-level communication.
l Provide status reporting regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and communicating across GTO and business leadership and stakeholders.
Process and Delivery Execution
l Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
l Own the full project life cycle end to end (Hybrid between Waterfall and Agile)
l Ensure the program is aligned to and supports strategic objectives.
l Prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project.
l Manage the day-to-day project activities, including project management working and steering committees. Understand inter-dependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
l Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
l Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
Key Requirements:
l Banking experience in Retail products, Operations, Processes, and operating models
l Experience in leading and executing large Credit Cards projects covering acquiring and issuing. Experience on loyalty and rewards is a plus. (over 10 years is preferred)
l Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent
l Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
l A confident and self-aware leader with a high degree of independence
l Demonstrated 5-10 years of experience in project management.
l Full end-to-end project management in a lead role
l Direct responsibility of project budgets of $5 - 15 million dollars.
l Executive-level communication skills with excellent written and verbal communication
l Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
l Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
