Restaurant Manager

The restaurant is a specialty grill restaurant in Singapore serving healthy balanced meals that are skillfully prepared and grilled in the kitchen. We offer a premium tasty menu at affordable prices, giving our guests value for money, smokeless dining and delight to all senses. The setting is a casual dining concept designed with Modern Japanese aesthetics that appeals to all demographics.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the primary role of the Restaurant Manager is to ensure that our guests and clients have a truly memorable experience in our Japanese Concept Restaurant while maximising sales and profitability.

This role requires the availability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays and oversee Gaia F&B outlets.


Responsibilities

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the GAIA Group and its value proposition.
  • Maintain daily operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and support team members to be consistent in service standards, to be collaborative and to have an enabling leadership style.
  • Handles guests' complaints and feedback competently and swiftly.
  • Consistently adheres to the timeline of deliverables with accuracy.
  • Actively involved and implement appropriate and effective measures to improve control of cost, expenses and labour.
  • Review monthly "Financial Statement" and be aware of the current financial status of the Restaurant Operations Division with particular focus on Beverage COGS and overall restaurant payroll.
  • Manages schedules and payroll management software system in a timely and error-free manner.
  • Work with marketing team to develop and implement advertising and promotion strategies.
  • Maintains safe, secure, healthy, tidy, and neat facilities by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Submits monthly sales analysis with improvement action plan and uses revenue management tools to generate reports.
  • Uses the performance review process to identify and develop talent for growth management performance issues and uses coaching styles.
  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests from the management.
  • Oversee Gaia F&B outlets.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Head of Operations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of working experience in related field.
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to delegate tasks and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work well in diverse, dynamic and challenging environments, while maintaining high standards.
  • Highly organized with strong analytic and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and is meticulous and well-organized.
  • Able to work independently and can lead and manage a team in a restaurant.
